I produced, recorded, and mixed this cover of Evanescence’s “Going Under” for my friend Lauren Babic. It was so fun recreating the elements of the original. This is one of my favorite mixes of 2021

I had fun producing a fresh version of the song Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey for my good friend Jordan Radvansky! I loved blending orchestral and rock elements together. Looking forward to doing more songs with this energy!
LAUREN BABIC / WHALE BONES - POSITIONS
I met Lauren in 2018 when her band, CrazyEightyEight, was recording an album in Columbus. She came out to a Whale Bones concert as we were finishing up an East Coast tour. We’ve danced around the idea of performing a song together for a few years, and it finally lined up with this cover of “Positions” by Ariana Grande! I produced the instrumental, and then we passed the track back and forth- adding our vocals on in layers. It was a blast to create a very intentional and unique rendition of this song.

JORDAN RADVANSKY - LONELY
My good friend Jordan Radvansky just released his cover of Lonely by Justin Bieber- orchestrated, produced, mixed, and mastered by me. Jordan approached me about working with him at the end of 2020 as he was plotting his wold takeover of 2021. Jordan will be releasing a new song every week for the entirety of 2021, which is a huge feat. I’m honored to be working with him on a few other upcoming covers. Stay tuned for more magic!
WHALE BONES - THE DOORS ARE LOCKED, THE BLINDS ARE CLOSED, I AM NOT HOME
The Deluxe addition of “Close All the Blinds…” is out now, titled “The Doors are Locked, the Blinds are Closed, I Am Not Home”. Whale Bones partnered with Boketo Media for this re-release, and it includes Sow Your Heart in Me and instrumental versions of each track. Very glad to showcase the depth of production I put into this album.
WHALE BONES - SOW YOUR HEART IN ME
The video for ‘Sow Your Heart in Me’ is out now!! This song is so special to me. It’s a great contrast from the dark and sad mood of the rest of the record. I felt like I came out on the other side from a lot of the pain I expressed on the other signs. Feeling comfortable being vulnerable, open, and seeking out the way I want my life to go. It’s similar to backyard in that way, but from a more mature and understanding place. Shot by Joe Etemadi
WHALE BONES - WILT
The music video for Wilt is finally out. We set up this video multiple times over the period of 8 months. Various hiccups like budget, COVID, weather, and location got in the way, but our final setup ended up being better than I could have ever imagined. This song means a lot to me, and the video perfectly embodies the mood of what I was trying to express. Directed by myself and Joe Etemadi.
WHALE BONES - CULT LEADER
The music video is for Cult Leader is out now! This video was a huge undertaking. I quarantined with Joe Etemadi for a month and we worked on this video throughout that time. Tore up his whole house and worked well into the mornings. We pushed our limits and grew so much as creators. Conner Jones breathed life into our footage with his coloring. I’m so proud of what we’ve made. Directed by myself and Joe Etemadi.
